WETASKIWIN VOLKSSPORT WALKING CLUB

 

The Wetaskiwin Volkssport is a non-profit organization providing its members and other interested individuals with an opportunity to enjoy Volkssporting activities. 

The oldest club in Alberta they were formed in 1987 and held their first volksmarch the following year.

The Club organizes, event walks, guided walks and year-round events in Wetaskiwin and area. The Club cooperates with the other Volkssport clubs in Alberta to develop a schedule of walks for the whole year.

In addition to walking the club holds BBQ's and picnics which adds to the friendship aspect of the activity.
The club hosted the annual Provincial conference in Camrose in 2009 and 2014. They also co-host Alberta Majesty along with Devon in 2016.
